All too often, only bad news is reported about South Dakota’s reservations. But I was at Rosebud Reservation last week and saw some great things happening there.

They’ve been slowed down by this summer’s oddly wet weather, but are pushing forward. Over time, the workers who’ve been trained on this project will train others on their home reservations, and straw-bale buildings will rise all over the state.
